We Moved!

We're very happy to finally be done moving. We're in the same complex, but we've moved to a different building and are now on the bottom floor. We're loving the new place, and are continually finding new bonuses that came with this apartment (better heaters, better showers, etc.). Carolyn particularly loves being able to watch the ducks and geese in the pond out back.
We've been very proud of Carolyn. Despite her cold she has been very good for us during the move. The poor thing has a fever, runny nose, and has now developed a cough.

Recliner shopping

This Saturday, we took Jared's mom to a furniture store to pick out a new recliner for her upcoming 50th birthday. The current recliner she has is older than Jared and has been falling apart for some time.Carolyn loves giving kisses. Jared also tried out having a goatee/mustache.
Carolyn also loves to climb onto her mommy's recliner all by herself.
In other news, on Saturday, April 12th, we will be moving to a new apartment about 200 feet away in the same complex, with the same floorplan, but it's on the ground floor, it doesn't have a fireplace, and the patio outside faces the duck pond.

Pics of us at park

Last weekend was Jared's 24th birthday. We had a picnic in the park with friends and played frisbee and bocce ball. Sorry, no pictures. :0(
Sunday early morning Dieneke's sister Deanna arrived and is staying with us for the week while she's on spring break.
This morning we went to a park near by and chased the ducks and geese. Carolyn loved it.

Not Going To MTC This Fall

The past 2 weeks have changed the course of our next year. We found out that not only is our sending church disbanding, but there is also no room for us at MTC this fall. At first this was all a bit of a shock, but we have seen the Lord's hand in it all. He has provided us with a new church that is excited to become our sending church, and since we cannot go into the training right away, we will have some extra time to really get to know them. It will also be a great blessing to be here near Jared's family longer, it will allow our son on the way to be a little older when we go, and will allow us to save up some more much needed funds for training.

What we've been up to

What have we been up to? Jared has been flying night trips, and Dieneke has been working on crafts. Our baby boy is growing big, and Dieneke is becoming more and more uncomfortable. Carolyn still doesn't understand that she will soon have a brother, but we get a kick out of seeing her give "Baby Henry" (mom's tummy) hugs.
